A place with a rich history
According to legend, a castle was built on the site of today's Větruše already in 826 by Labohoř and was named in honor of his wife Vitruš (Wittrusch). The castle later burnt down. In 1847, a restaurant was built on the hill, 50 years later completed by a 30-meter lookout tower. After the confiscation in 1950 the building fell into disrepair until 2004, when a complete reconstruction began.
Both in and out of the city
Větruše is connected by cableway to department store in the city center. Thanks to this hotel and restaurant rises in a quiet location above the city and at the same time within 2 minutes you can get to the center for shopping or entertainment. The unique feature of the cable car is that it is the longest cable car without supporting columns in the Czech Republic.
